Age, size, location and use all affect how we categorise buildings. By capturing these data points amanteia can automatically identify the building physics and systems engineering. Based on the year of construction it considers the life cycle of the building envelope and system technology. These data entries can be corrected, specified, and supplemented later. Consumption data, whether gathered at source or transmitted by the supplier, can be added or imported.

amanteia works using action templates. These include, for example, roof renovation, heating congestion or the use of photovoltaics. Users have access to these templates. They have standard market prices and savings calculations built in linked to the state of construction and existing technology. Where necessary templates can be adjusted.

amanteia is programmed to see country-specific regulatory targets so it can find relevant decarbonisation pathways to achieve those goals. It is a perfect planning tool for both national and international property portfolios.

To forecast the heating requirements of a building up to 2050, the software factors in local climate developments. A Representative Concentration Pathway is used in accordance with the Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

Portfolio-level planning is also available with amanteia. It uses a complex optimisation process that receives specifications from users on, budgets, timeframes, and implementation preferences. The result is a complete action plan to meet specifications for the whole portfolio. The user can change factors, such as budgets, and compare results.
